Our Radiologist's are setting the standards for spinal ligamentous assessments
utilizing Computer Assisted Radiographic Mensuration Analysis (CRMA).
We take our service very seriously as we know that each of our specialty providers are going to use our radiographic measurements to help determine care paths that can dramatically affect patient lives. Understanding the location and severity of spinal ligament damage and the level of articular alignment problems it has caused, is information that is key to every patient descision you will be making.
For conservative recovery it will help you to determine the type of care, type of modalities, type active care instructions, frequency of care and many other factors involved with getting excellent recovery results with your patient. It is also utilized to make Activities of Daily Living modifications that in some cases may dramatically affect your patient's activities, such as those involved with 'Return to Play' parameters in contact sports.
CRMA allows pain management providers to differentiate between pain due to facet disease versus pain due to ligamentous injury.
Spinal alignment measurements are being used in preoperative planning of spinal fusion procedures everyday and in some states are required for the procedure to be
pre-authorized.
CRMA can also be utilized to assess results following surgery.
CRMA is being utilized daily for proper (DRE-Diagnosis Related Estimate) or (DRI-Diagnosis related Impairment) found in the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment.
The ability to objectively quantify the presence, extent, and location of spinal ligamentous injury can really make a difference in patients lives, which is why we have established the highest level of quality control so that our results are accurate, reliable and reproducible.
